The tour started September 9, 2015 in Montreal. Billboard is out with the first box office totals for the month of September.
Billboard reports the total gross for the Michigan native’s first 10 concerts stands at $20 million. That’s based on 132,769 sold tickets from the first eight arenas on the schedule.
Madonna‘s two-night tour opener in Montreal grossed $3.4 million. The two shows at Madison Square Garden topped that with $5.2 million from 28,371 sold seats on September 16 and 17.
Madonna performed in Detroit on October 1. Those numbers have not been released yet.
The Rebel Heart Tour‘s opening leg in the U.S. and Canada will hit 20 arenas before wrapping in San Diego on Oct. 29 after a seven-week span. The tour then heads to Europe for shows throughout 11 countries through December 20.
The tour will resume in 2016 with concerts in three continents, as well as a second North American run in January, Asia in February, and a trip to Australia and New Zealand in March.
Her highest grossing tour on record is 2008-2009’s Sticky & Sweet. That tour made $408 million in sales, landing at No. 5 among the top-grossing tours of all time.
