Today, as the whole nation goes out to ‘express themselves’ through the democratic process of electing their leaders, it pays to heed the 1989 hit song’s advice:
“DON’T GO FOR SECOND BEST…” 🇵🇭

#MadonnaHistory101 It was 22 years ago when late night television was shaken by 14 'Fucks'! 😊 @Madonna was #DavidLetterman's guest on his talk show and the interview came to be one of the most memorable moments in TV history when she uttered the magic word 14 times which then was still a big deal. Oh, how the times have changed…🤘🏻 #Madonna #Madonna101 #Madonnalogy #LateShowWithDavidLetterman #TV #FuckYeah #BitchImMadonna #Queen #QueenOfPop #HerMadgesty #MadonnaFans #MadonnaFamily #ClubMadonnaPhilippines

In light of recent statements by MADONNA for The Associated Press comparing herself to legendary Spanish artist Pablo Picasso which not surprisingly were picked up by news and social media outlets garnering reactions that ran the gamut from praise, amusement to utter disbelief, Vogue kinda goes on her defense with this analysis.
Not since when Luciano Pavarotti staged a concert in Manila in the 90’s had there been so much discussion on the concert ticket prices for a visiting music icon that even die-hard fans had to make tough choices and/or big sacrifices just to be able to finally have their once-in-a-lifetime moment with Her Madgesty.
What this article fails to highlight however, is that
this is MADONNA we’re talking about.
The most successful female music artist of all time…
The highest grossing solo concert artist ever…
…and arguably the most dynamic and creative live musical performer out there.
You can fly to Japan another time.
You can get an iPhone 6 on your next bonus.
You can resume having your daily dose of Starbucks coffee after a few months maybe…
But you may NEVER have another opportunity to watch the QUEEN OF POP perform Live again in Manila.
But just the same, enjoy this nice piece of ‘financial’ analysis.
What can you buy for the price of Madonna concert tickets?
Amusing how a sweet, innocent and loving photo of a mother and her children rubbing her feet would elicit polarized reactions from people who either were touched or repulsed by it.
Madonna posted this picture on Instagram showing how her children David and Mercy, who happen to be of African descent, give her a foot rub after a rough day (presumably after rehearsals?). Yet some people mistook the image and put a racist spin on it.

Madonna, Ageism and Sexism
by Kyle McMahon
Too many people forget that Madonna, the most successful solo artist in history, has paved the way for so many artists, both male and female. With her outspoken opinions, her sometimes shocking but always thought provoking performances and her pure determination, she’s broken down barriers on women, pop stars, homosexuals, race, religion, business and everything in between. There would be no Britney Spears, no Beyoncé, no Rihanna, had Madonna not paved the way with her conical bra or her pink leotard.
